The Silk Crepe Skirt is Masterfully-Tailored with Deco “Arches” over-stitched at the Hip line, Tiny Silk Rosettes at the Bottom of Each Arch fall into Soft Pleat Fishtail Panels around the Skirt which add fantastic movement. The Back of the skirt is equally impressive with it’s Lavish Bow Edged in a Stiffener Stitching. The Skirt is Bordered in Stunning Soutache Looped Cord Trim. Measures Chest-36″, Waist-36″, Hip-38″, Length Shoulder to Hem-45″. OUTSTANDING WEARABLE CONDITION, two small indiscreet holes measuring a total area of 1/8″ X 1/4″ in one of the rear chiffon panels. There is a very slight shadow under the arms and two small faint spots at bodice, both of which are only visible to an ultra-finicky eye. VERY hard to find a 100-year old piece of this nature in completely wearable condition, & in this non-tiny size. This gown is made from a blue acetate material with a black silk overlay. The neckline is backed with a beige chiffon while the sleeves are just the black lace. There is a hook & eye closure at the top of the neckline and zippers at the end of each sleeve.
Handmade ivory chiffon dress with pleated front & loophole button closure down the back & on the sleeves. The lace detailing was from a grandmothers dress from the 1930’s. There is narrow elastic in the waist, a seamstress would easily be able to re-do it if a smaller waist was desired.
